Rangers Win Nail-Biter
|
The Buffalo Rangers handed the Las Vegas Aces a 5-4 defeat in 10 innings at Western Coliseum. Left Fielder Matty Hrinko starred for Buffalo. He went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. The third-place Rangers now have a win-loss record of 47-42.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Bobby Rojas came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Las Vegas pitcher Cruz Ponce, he hit a 1-1 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Buffalo on top, 5-4.
"It was terrific getting this win," Hrinko said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
