Drooping Dragons Lose 6th Straight
Los Angeles registered a win at Stars Ballpark by beating the Portland Dragons, 4-3. Pitcher Mike Merdinger was one reason why the Stars triumphed. Conor Sleight, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2074 draft, was the winner in relief. His record is now 5-1. The losing pitcher was Juan Casanas. The slumping Dragons have lost 6 straight.

Los Angeles got a knockout punch from Cody McLaughlin. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

McLaughlin told a Los Angeles Times reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."
