Salmon Helps Toronto Cruise to 13-3 Win
The Toronto Juggernauts defeated the Las Vegas Aces, 13-3, at Western Coliseum. Matt Salmon, who led the EC in extra base hits with 94 last year, was a standout performer for Toronto. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 double -- this in addition to the 3 runs he scored and 4 he knocked in. Toronto now has a record of 47-45 with the win.

Toronto second baseman Marcos Dominguez contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 26th hit of the season and put the Juggernauts ahead, 2-0.

"We lit up the scoreboard," said Toronto manager Marc Arnold.
