St. Louis Squanders Great Game by Albuja
|
The Miami Cyclones overcame a good performance by St. Louis right fielder Edgar Albuja to knock off St. Louis, 6-4, at Veeck Park. Albuja hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Kazune Kimoto snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits over 1.2 innings. He's now 2-2 on the season. With the win, the Cyclones sit at 47-44.
Miami used a timely hit from Nelson Aragon to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"I feel honored to be a part of this team," said Aragon.
