Vikings Lose at Home, 9-8
Starting pitcher Yahya Kanoro pitched well enough to help the Portland Dragons beat the Minneapolis Vikings, 9-8. Alex Urbano picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-2. Joseph Stark, who is tied for 9th in the WC in holds with 11, was tagged with the loss. The losses continue to mount for Minneapolis, which has now dropped 7 in a row.

Portland won the game in part because of Tony Guerra. The third baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dragons ahead, 9-8. For the game, Guerra had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Guerra. "Those qualities define our team."
