Twins Slap 9-4 Loss on Boston
Geoff Tankersley impressed in the 9-4 Cincinnati win over Boston. Tankersley, who is tied for 4th in the EC in stolen bases with 14, was 2-4 with a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The Twins go to 37-57 with the win.

Aires Colmeiro had a big 2-run double for the Twins in the bottom of the first inning. With Cincinnati leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Javy Alejo, who leads the EC in wins with 10, and swatted a double to center. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 3-0.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Colmeiro. "You've got to get results."
