Titans Win Thriller, 13-12
The New York Titans topped the Miami Cyclones, 13-12, with catcher Calvin Ilk playing a big role. Ilk was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Titans in the win. New York reliever Pierre Prent picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Matt Pinette was saddled with the loss. The Titans, at 67-26, have a comfortable 24½-game lead in their division.

The decisive blow was delivered by Leo Ekgart in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a bases-clearing double off 24-year old right-handed pitcher Matt Pinette to win the game for New York. The home crowd went nuts.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Miami manager Chris Stephan. "The effort was great."
