Victory Takes Aces to 55-39
|
Las Vegas second baseman Tyler Plantholt had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Maine Lobster, 6-5. Las Vegas pitcher Joshua Eyres earned the win, hiking his record to 11-5. Slider Brooks suffered the loss. Cruz Ponce got credit for the save for Las Vegas. It was his 20th of the year.
Las Vegas took a 4-2 lead on Plantholt's 31st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which he hit off Bill Lohry in the bottom of the sixth, propelled Las Vegas to the win.
"What's not to like about a win?" said Plantholt.
The Aces, at 55-39, sit in first place in the Western Conference Eastin Division.
