The Boston Greens got a marvelous performance from pitcher Chris Bridges. The right-hander kept the Cincinnati offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Boston victory at Cincinnati Grounds. Alfredo Manduley recorded the save for Boston, his 1st of the season. Boston now sports a record of 41-52.

Boston used the hitting of Alberto Mejia to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Greens on top, 4-2. For the game, Mejia had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Bridges. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
