Fox-Chong Park was the site of a tense game between the Buffalo Rangers and Vancouver Wolves.
Andres Carrasquillo was terrific for the Vancouver Wolves in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Buffalo Rangers. His performance earned Carrasquillo rave reviews. The win puts the Wolves at 42-52, while the Rangers drop to 44-49.
Ken Draves had a big 2-run double for the Wolves in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Vancouver leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from B.J. Baker, who is tied for 5th in the EC in complete games with 1, and swatted a double to right. It was his 22nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wolves ahead, 3-0.
"Watch and learn," said Draves. "This is what good pitching looks like."
