Behind the bravura of catcher Erleisi Linares, the Tucson Toros topped the Denver Glaciers by the score of 7-5. Linares was 3 for 4 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Toros. The winner was Jose Zavala in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Jeremy Lanham took the loss. Miguel Moquete recorded the save, making him 5 for 5.

Tucson needed the clutch hitting of Geri Rengifo to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Toros on top, 7-5. For the game, Rengifo had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Tucson manager Rick Barnes.
