Vikings Topple Kodiaks with Late Rally
Alaska wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Alex Mayorga, falling to the Minneapolis Vikings, 3-1. Mayorga threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The third-place Vikings are now 49-48, the Kodiaks 53-45.

Vince Minta provided a timely hit. The Minneapolis second baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Vikings on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Minta.
