Cyclones Improve to 52-49 with 2-1 Win
Miami Cyclones starter Jeremy Fitch worked his magic, to help his team defeat the New York Titans, 2-1. Fitch got the win, improving to 7-4. He gave up 3 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. Earl Roop got credit for the save for Miami. It was his 8th of the year.

Miami used a clutch at-bat from Cody Daniels to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"This was a tough loss," said New York manager Nate Beckman. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."

The win puts the Cyclones at 52-49, while the Titans drop to 45-57.
