The Portland Dragons got a stellar performance from pitcher Wil Campos, who handcuffed the Tucson offense en route to a win, 5-1, at Aetna Stadium. The winner was Campos. He threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was B.J. Terriquez. The victory puts Portland at 43-63.

Portland used a clutch at-bat from Shigenobu Shimamoto to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Dragons ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Portland manager Greg Carpenter commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
