Arrows Win, 4-3, Over Kansas City
|
The Seattle Arrows scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Kansas City Athletics at Ballpark of Missouri. Seattle pitcher Chua chay Niu held his own in the contest. By defeating Kansas City, the second-place Arrows improved to 58-47.
Seattle used a timely hit from Ling-lai Li to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Arrows ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.
In postgame remarks, Niu hailed his team's "single-minded focus."
