Dini Leads Harfangs to 5-4 Win Over Senators
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Montreal Harfangs and Washington Senators.
The 5-4 Montreal win over Washington was due in large part to Alrigo Dini. The Harfangs catcher went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Montreal starter Jeff Umlah was credited with the win after throwing 113 pitches over 5.2 innings. His record now stands at 8-3.
Dini had a timely hit for Montreal in the top of the sixth. With Montreal trailing 4-1, he turned a 2-0 fastball into a grand slam home run. It was his 13th home run of the season, making it 5-4, Montreal.
"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Dini told the Montreal Daily.
Montreal leads the Eastern Conference Antonio Detorres Division by 5 games.
