Metropolitanos Make It 4 In a Row with 2-1 Triumph Over San Francisco
|
In a low-scoring clash between Havana and San Francisco, pitcher Alex Zapien was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned praise for his performance in the 2-1 Metropolitanos win. The Metropolitanos, at 64-44, have now won 4 straight.
Carlos Garza had a direct impact on the outcome. Garza contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Havana up, 2-1.
"I'm happy we won," said Zapien. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
