Arrows Best Athletics, 5-3
|
2086 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Kansas City Athletics.
A good performance from shortstop Ling-lai Li helped the Seattle Arrows defeat the Kansas City Athletics, 5-3. Li was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Arrows. The winning pitcher was Su-shun Nie. His record now stands at 11-4. The left-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits for the Arrows. Picking up the save was Rikio Kaneko, his 2nd.
Early in the game, Li had a 2-run double for Seattle. It was his 9th double of the season and put the Arrows on top, 2-0.
Li told a Seattle Bulletin reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
Seattle is now 59-48, while Kansas City is 31-76.
