Win Makes Miami 55-52
Yellowknife got a terrific game from first baseman Jeremy Curzon. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Miami, 5-4. Curzon was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Earl Roop nailed down his 9th save. The win gives Miami a season record of 55-52.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Alonzo Armijo was at the plate when Miami scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Cyclones to go in front, 5-4.

"Feels good to get the job done," Armijo said after the game.
