Mount Royal Park hosted a real pitchers' duel.
Denver Glaciers starter Tetsukazu Kaneda was on his game, helping his team beat the Montreal Harfangs, 2-1. Andy Doncaster was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 6 save opportunities.
Adriel Madera had a direct impact on the outcome. Madera contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Denver up, 2-1.
"I'm happy we won," said Kaneda. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
The Glaciers, at 53-55, sit in third place in the Western Conference Eric Wise Division.
