The Montreal Harfangs picked up a win at Mount Royal Park, taking down the Denver Glaciers, 4-1, in 11 innings. On the mound for Montreal was right-hander Carl Rodda. He played a central role in the triumph. The first-place Harfangs, at 61-47, now lead their division by 4½ games.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ray Garcia in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a 3-run home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Jared Gutierrez to win the game for Montreal. The home crowd went nuts.

Garcia told a Montreal Daily reporter that he felt "ecstatic" after the win.
