Despite a fine performance by third baseman Craig Lightsey, the Houston Aquas lost to the San Francisco Friars, 10-8. Lightsey went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Kelvin Vaquera closed the door for San Francisco, picking up his 1st save of the year. The loss drops Houston to 11-15.

Edgar Albuja had a big 3-run home run for the Friars in the bottom of the fifth inning. With San Francisco leading 6-3 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Russ Gillespie and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Friars on top, 9-3.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Francisco manager Erich Weatherholt.
