Santiago picked up a win at Estadio Guillermón Moncada, bumping off the Boston Greens, 4-3. Pitcher Julius Miller was a major reason the Avispas emerged victorious. Miller, now 3-2, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing 3 runs. The defeat makes Boston 14-12.

The Greens had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Avispas going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old center fielder Trevor Wise came to the plate. Wise hit a 2-run double on a first pitch changeup from Boston hurler Kevin Adkins. It was Wise's 4th double of the year.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Miller.
