Fonseca Impressive in 4-0 Los Angeles Triumph

The Los Angeles Stars tallied a win at Stars Ballpark, throttling the Phoenix Thunderbirds, 4-0. Starting pitcher Juan Fonseca was a big reason for his team's success. The win takes Los Angeles to 15-13.
The Stars liked what they saw from Fonseca. The 22-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Thunderbirds to no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 8.
"That was a really good outing by Juan," said Los Angeles manager Pat Kaers.
