Merlin Garbie was instrumental in his team's 9-6 triumph over the Baltimore Kings. The catcher was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Buffalo Rangers. Carlos Palafox picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-0 on the season. He struck out 2 and walked 3 in 5 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Josh Trejo got the save, the 4th for him this season.

The Kings had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Rangers going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the two-time All-Star Charlie Cole came to the plate. Cole hit a 3-run home run on a 2-2 fastball from Baltimore hurler Savino Dore. It was Cole's 1st home run of the year.

"No time for posing," said Garbie. "The next game will be here before you know it."

The Kings, 14-18, continue their poor start to the 2085 campaign.
