Jack Perry picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-0 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 2 in 5.1 innings, while yielding 1 run. The win elevated the Kodiaks to 18-16.

Jose Fierro, who is tied for 8th in the WC in hits with 42, helped out the Alaska cause in the top of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1-4.

"Good ballgame," said San Francisco manager Erich Weatherholt. "But we came up on the short end."
