Rangers Edge St. Louis in Pitching Duel
The Buffalo Rangers did just enough to sneak past the St. Louis Gaedels, 1-0, at Bison Stadium. Buffalo pitcher Alexis Donini, in particular, had a standout performance. Donini got the win, improving to 4-2. He gave up 7 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. Josh Trejo got the save, the 5th for him this season.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Rangers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when center fielder Jose Puga hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Ben Ford and made the score 1-0, Rangers. Puga was 1 for 3.

"We have a lot of confidence in Alexis," said Buffalo manager Alex Beckman.

The win puts Buffalo at 20-14 this season.
