The Kansas City Athletics licked the Vancouver Wolves, 5-4. Will Major deserved a big chunk of the credit. The catcher was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Athletics. The third-place Athletics now have a record of 16-19.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With no one out, Major hit a splitter from Rafael Mendiola for a solo home run. The Athletics, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Major said.
