Havana and Washington duked it out and the Metropolitanos came out victorious.

The Washington Senators got a sterling performance from first baseman Sung-hyo Kym, but the Havana Metropolitanos still prevailed, 3-2. Kym went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2. Ricardo Alas got the save, the 7th for him this season.

David Higby, who is tied for 2nd in the EC in stolen bases with 11, had a direct impact on the outcome. Higby contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Havana up, 3-1.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Higby told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."

The Metropolitanos have now reeled off 7 straight wins.
