Greens Mow Down Arrows, 9-3
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Boston Greens pinned a convincing loss on the Seattle Arrows, 9-3, at Power Ballpark. Mike Allen was a main factor in the win. He was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 for Boston. The win puts the Greens at 52-62, while the Arrows drop to 56-60.
Nestor Pena had a big 3-run home run for the Greens in the top of the fifth inning. With Boston leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Garrett Gutierrez and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Greens on top, 5-0.
"Winning never gets dull," said Pena.
