Vancouver turned a fine outing from starter Ben Flint into a victory over the Portland Dragons at Portland Park. The final score was 6-2. The winning pitcher was Flint, now 8-5. Vancouver used a clutch at-bat from Ken Draves to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Wolves ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Vancouver skipper Matt Libid.
