Ballpark of Portland hosted an old-fashioned pitchers' duel.

Jairo Madueno pitched well, but the Maine Lobster still lost the game, falling, 2-0, to the Miami Cyclones at Ballpark of Portland. Reliever Ivan Fernandez picked up the win. His record improves to 4-5. Jairo Madueno, who is tied for 6th in the EC in wins with 11, took the loss. Ricardo Riveron earned his 14th save, after closing out the game.

Miami used the hitting of Cole Roberts Jr. to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cyclones on top, 1-0. For the game, Roberts Jr. had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Nice win for us," said Roberts Jr.. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The Cyclones bumped their record to 60-60 with this latest triumph.
