Cyclones Victorious at Toronto, 5-4
|
Miami and Toronto duked it out and the Cyclones came out victorious.
The Miami Cyclones defeated the Toronto Juggernauts, 5-4. Left Fielder Cody Daniels deserved a large share of the credit. Daniels was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Cyclones. The winning pitcher was Ben Hicks. He's now 6-2. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits for the Cyclones.
In the top of the third, Daniels had a 2-run double for Miami. It was his 25th double of the season and put the Cyclones on top, 3-1.
Daniels attributed the win to "concerted effort and focus."
With the win over Toronto, the Cyclones improved to 61-59.
