Miami got a big-time effort from pitcher Abdi Bitok, but it wasn't enough to keep the Portland (E) Lobster from winning the game, 6-5. Bitok threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Portland (E) reliever Derek Bath was the winner. His record is now 4-3. Andres Berrones took the loss. Their 47-74 record puts the Lobster last in the Eastern Conference Rodney Hartley Division.

Ruben Torres clinched the win with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the tenth. In the game, the Portland (E) catcher was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
