Glaciers Beat Wolves, 5-1

Tetsukazu Kaneda, who is tied for 3rd in the WC in strikeouts with 165, was terrific for the Denver Glaciers in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Vancouver Wolves. His performance earned Kaneda rave reviews. Kaneda, now 11-8, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Denver now owns a record of 61-62.
Ko Kuroda hit a solo home run off Matt Nyholm in the bottom of the third, which put the Glaciers ahead, 2-1. In addition to the homer, Kuroda had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Kuroda.
