Toros Top Senators, 3-2
|
The Tucson Toros and Washington Senators played an exciting game.
Tucson Toros starter Vismay Falcon pitched his team past the Washington Senators, 3-2, in 11 innings. The winner was Tucson reliever Ignacio Noriega, now 6-3. The loser was Xiong Loh.
Tucson needed the clutch hitting of Clemenz Winkler to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Toros on top, 3-2. For the game, Winkler had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Every win gets us closer to our ultimate goal," said Falcon.
The Toros sit in first place in the Western Conference Brian Boots Division with a record of 75-48.
