Matthews 3-for-3 to Fuel Lobster Offense
|
The Maine Lobster downed the Santiago Avispas, 8-3, at Ballpark of Portland. The Lobster were led by Rio Matthews. Matthews went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Lobster improved their record to 60-64 by beating Santiago.
With Maine leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Matthews hit a fastball from Ricky Czaikowski for a run-scoring double. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Lobster ahead, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Matthews told the Maine Citizen.
