Friars Lose as Arrows Stage Late Rally
The Seattle Arrows withstood an impressive performance by San Francisco catcher Lyalya Markosiants to defeat the Friars, 10-7, at Power Ballpark. Markosiants went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Michael Fridy picked up the win in relief for Seattle, while Cheh Ye took the loss. The Arrows raised their record to 62-64.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Bobby Badeaux came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing San Francisco pitcher Cheh Ye, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Seattle on top, 7-6.

"I'm a bit of a clubhouse prankster," said Badeaux. "But it's all business when we're on the field."
