Browns Squelch Rangers Offense in Shutout Win
In a tight affair between the Brooklyn Browns and the Buffalo Rangers, pitcher Luis Basurto was in the zone. The Brooklyn right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-0. The 4th-place Browns are now 61-65, the Rangers 64-61.

The Browns got a big at-bat from right fielder Jason Brown. For the game, Brown was 1 for 3 with a home run. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Brooklyn a 1-0 lead.

Brown said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
