The Tucson Toros topped the Cincinnati Twins, 4-2, in Western Conference action at Aetna Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Tucson pitcher and Azua, Dominican Republic, native Felix Talamantez. Ignacio Noriega snagged the win in relief. He goes to 7-3 on the season. Kimiya Kinoshita suffered the loss. Tucson is now 78-49, 13½ games up in the Western Conference Brian Boots Division.

Tucson took a 4-2 lead on Erleisi Linares's 16th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Linares hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Cincinnati pitcher Kimiya Kinoshita visibly frustrated.

"We put together a nice win," Linares said.
