Senators Lose to Dragons, 5-3
|
The Portland Dragons picked up a win at Portland Park, knocking off the Washington Senators, 5-3. Starting pitcher Wil Campos was a big reason why. In 7 innings, Campos surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 11 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The third-place Dragons now have a record of 65-63.
Du Kau dealt the Senators a blow in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Portland trailing 3-2, Kau, who is tied for 3rd in the WC in triples with 6, hit a 0-1 fastball for a 2-run single.
"Wil was all business tonight," said Portland manager Greg Carpenter.
