Stars Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The Los Angeles Stars faced a tough opponent in New York pitcher Jeong Lee, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Stars Ballpark by a final score of 5-4. Lee went 7 innings and allowed 2 runs. The win went to Mike Brambila in relief, making him now 4-2. Keung King took the loss for New York. Had Juan Ahumada not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Ahumada hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Stars.
