The San Diego Destroyers could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Fish Rablood into a win. Instead, the Baltimore Kings prevailed, 4-1. Rablood threw 5.0 innings allowing 2 runs. Julio Olivo got the save, his 8th in 10 chances. The Kings now have a record of 80-48 with the win over San Diego.

Baltimore used the timely hitting of Heater Watkins to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Kings on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Watkins.
