Toros Get 6-3 Win Versus Chicago
|
Thanks in large part to designated hitter Jose Pedroza, the Tucson Toros beat the Chicago Phantoms, 6-3. Pedroza was 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times. Tucson pitcher Feng Shuai got the win. He's now 11-8. Vito Pels was tagged with the loss. Tucson now sports a record of 66-62.
Jesus Munoz had a big bases-clearing double for the Toros in the bottom of the third inning. With Tucson leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a changeup from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Vito Pels and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Toros ahead, 4-0.
