The Las Vegas Aces topped the Los Angeles Stars, 4-1, in Western Conference action at Stars Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Las Vegas pitcher Brian Burda. Las Vegas is in third place in the Western Conference Michael Fridy Division with a record of 61-67.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Eddie Flores? The 25-year old shortstop Flores stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put Las Vegas up, 4-1. For the game, he was 3 for 4, including 2 doubles and 1 single.
"You score one run, you're not going to win," said Los Angeles skipper Pat Kaers. "You can have three Koufaxes and three Drysdales, you're still not going to win."
