Glaciers Slap 2-0 Loss on Baltimore
|
Jose Arruebarrena never let Baltimore get something going. The Denver right-hander commanded his curveball in pitching the Glaciers to a 2-0 win. Arruebarrena, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 4 walks. Adam Mimnaugh picked up the save, his 30th.
The Glaciers got a big at-bat from right fielder Nagateru Imada. For the game, Imada was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Denver a 2-0 lead.
"Jose looked very determined to have a good game," said Denver manager Todd Bleess. "He was totally focused and he produced."
The Glaciers saw their win-loss record go to 71-58. At the same time, the Kings fell to 80-49.
