Avispas Lose as Rangers Stage Late Rally
Thanks in large part to first baseman Bejo Ananas, the Buffalo Rangers clipped the Santiago Avispas, 8-6, in 11 innings. Ananas went 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 3. Lupe Sandoval got the save, the 3rd for him this season. The Rangers are now 69-60, while the Avispas fall to 84-44.

Buffalo used the timely hitting of Charlie Cole to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Rangers on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll try to build on that win," Cole told the Buffalo Herald.
