The Las Vegas Aces eked out a 3-2 win versus the Seattle Arrows at Western Coliseum. Nobody did more than pitcher Masaru Uno. He was terrific. In 6 innings, Uno surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Freddie Fel, who is tied for 4th in the WC in holds with 17, earned the save for Las Vegas.
The Aces got a big at-bat from shortstop Brian Zeeff. For the game, Zeeff was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 39th double of the season gave Las Vegas a 1-0 lead.
"Masaru gave us a really strong effort," said Las Vegas manager Justin Coroian.
The victory gives the Aces a record of 74-56.
