Friars Top Dragons to Even Record
The 9-3 San Francisco win over Portland was due largely to D.J. Trigg. The Friars center fielder was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. San Francisco starter Lyalya Markosiants was credited with the win after throwing 105 pitches over 6.1 innings. His record now stands at 14-8. The win hiked the San Francisco record to 66-66.

With two out in the bottom of the first, Claire Wagemaker-Pell put San Francisco in front, 3-1, with a 2-run single. The Friars went on to win the ballgame.

San Francisco manager Jeremy Cooan was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
