The Kansas City Athletics topped the Houston Aquas, 4-2, in Western Conference action at Ballpark of Missouri. The standout performance belonged to Kansas City pitcher and Aibonito, Puerto Rico, native Alex Laso. Earning the save was Chase Kessler. He's now cashed in 24 of 26 save opportunities. Kansas City, now 74-58, holds down second place in the Western Conference Duviel Zaldivar Division.

The fans who came to support the Athletics were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Ballpark of Missouri.

"Alex did a good job of managing their lineup," said Kansas City manager Joe Monagle.
