Arakawa goes 3-for-4 in Vikings Win
|
The Minneapolis Vikings topped the Philadelphia Spectres, 10-5, with designated hitter Gentaro Arakawa playing a big role. Arakawa was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Vikings in the win. Vismay Falcon earned the win to go to 10-6. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, with 4 walks and 8 strikeouts in 6.2 innings of work. The first-place Vikings, at 77-56, lead the Western Conference Duviel Zaldivar Division by 2 games.
Minneapolis used a well-timed hit by Bobby Aguinaga to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Vikings ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Aguinaga told the Minneapolis Citizen.
