The Minneapolis Vikings picked up a win at Aetna Stadium, knocking off the Tucson Toros, 6-2. Starting pitcher Peter Rook played a key role in the triumph. Rook, now 5-4, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 2, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Minneapolis now sits in third place in the Western Conference Eobanus Burger Division at 61-71.

Minneapolis used the timely hitting of Durán Durán to capture the win. The right fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Vikings on top, 6-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
